Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. Her age was just teen when she began her journey into the music scene, having won local contests at the age of 10 old, and recorded her first album when she was fourteen years of age. In 1987, she dropped her debut solo album following being signed to Rounder Records. The year 1989 saw her asked to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
