Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16-year old American who was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker. Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. The father of her was Argentine and has Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother is Spanish and English heritage. The Taylor-Joy family was a family of six children. Four of her siblings are from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. They lived within Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria region in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and that she was unable to study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. She had to switch schools to Northlands and then Hill House. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. When she reached the age of 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to concentrate on her acting career. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her dream came true when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
