Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician as well as a composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer for The One Direction band. His parents include Des Styles and Anne Cox. He was born on 1st February, 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, in which he started his own band, composed of 3 classmates. The band he called White Eskimo. Their outstanding performances allowed them to take home their first Battle of Bands 2009. Even though he had always expressed an interest in the world of music however, despite his love for it, he wished to become a lawyer and physical therapist. He was employed at a local bakery part-time in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and did Is not She Lovely, a Stevie Wonder song. He got selected. Due to this, his group had to be split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the potential winners for the award. However, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive an award, but Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal for One Direction in order for them to join Syco Records.
