Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka. She's an actress, former model, who has primarily worked in the Indian film industry. Jacqueline is the year 2007 Miss Sri Lanka Universe winner. A member of a multiracial clan with Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian descendance, Fernandez spent the early portion of her life in Bahrain. After obtaining a mass communication degree at the University of Sydney, she spent time in Sri Lanka as a television reporter for a few years prior to entering the modeling industry. In 2006 she made her debut as Miss Universe and became one of the models with the highest popularity in Sri Lanka. In 2009, during her professional travels to India she landed the part as Jasmine in Sujoy Ghosh's film 'Aladin'. In 2011 she was cast in the role of Priya as the lead female of "Murder 2". Her career exploded after the film was a critical and commercial hit. Her roles have since included movies like Housefull 2 and 3, "Race 2," "Definition of Fear' and Judwaa 2. Additionally, she has been the brand ambassador for a variety of international brands. She is active in the community and she has been a patron of numerous charitable organizations and causes.
